Essex Connexions changes from 31 July 2011

Essex Connexions changes from 31 July 2011

  • Connexions Centres/One Stop Shops will close on the 31 July 2011.
  • Your Connexions Personal Adviser will no longer be available in your school/college to provide careers advice and guidance from 31 July 2011.
  • As of 1 August 2011 a small service will be provided by Essex County Council; further details will be issued soon about this service.
  • Support for young people with additional needs will continue through the Essex County Council Transition Pathway Service.
  • A targeted youth service is currently being designed to provide further support to young people.
  • The Government is introducing the National Careers Service in April 2012, which will change the way information, advice and guidance will be delivered.
  • Your personal data is currently held by Essex County Council and will continue to be used in the same way. If this changes you will be informed.
  • You can continue to contact the Connexions Direct helpline now and post July 2011, on tel 080 800 13 2 19, text 07766 4 13 2 19; 8am-2am, 365 days a year.
